Editorial & AI Policy

Last updated Oct 1, 2026

Fantasy managers make decisions on what we publish, so accuracy comes before speed. This page explains how a story gets from a headline to your screen, and exactly where AI is and isn’t involved.

1. Sourcing

  • We track official team announcements, league transactions and injury reports, established sports news outlets, and public player data from Sleeper.
  • Every story is based on at least one identifiable source, and every source is linked at the bottom of the article.
  • We don’t publish anonymous rumors as fact. When a report is unconfirmed, the article says so and names who reported it.
  • We write in our own words. We quote sparingly, with attribution and a link.

2. How we use AI

We use AI language models from third-party providers as a drafting and checking assistant:

  • Sorting: AI helps us decide which incoming headlines have a real fantasy impact.
  • Drafting: AI writes a first draft, working only from the source material we give it.
  • Checking: a separate AI pass compares every factual claim in the draft with the sources and flags anything unsupported.

What gets published automatically. A story is published without manual review only when every factual claim in it was verified against the cited sources and an automatic check found no copied wording. Any story with an unverified or contradicted claim is held back for our editor, who checks it against the sources, fixes or rejects it.

Every article says how it was produced: automatically published stories are labeled as drafted by AI and automatically fact-checked; stories an editor approved say so. Our editor monitors published stories and corrects errors quickly (see the Corrections Policy).

3. Fantasy analysis

Our start/sit, waiver and ranking advice is opinion based on data such as depth charts, usage and add/drop trends. It’s for entertainment and informational purposes. It is not betting advice, and we do not publish betting picks.

4. Images

Article images are our own graphics or freely licensed photos (Wikimedia Commons) shown with the photographer and license. Team logos and small player headshots, provided through the API-Sports data service, are used only to identify the team or player; they remain the property of their owners. We do not use AI-generated images of real people. Rights holders can ask us to remove an image at the contact address below.

5. Corrections and updates

When a story changes or we get something wrong, we update the article and add a visible note explaining what changed. See our Corrections Policy.

6. Independence

We are not affiliated with the NFL, any team, or any fantasy or betting company. Advertising, if shown, is clearly separated from editorial content and never influences coverage.

7. Our editor

Articles are reviewed and signed by our editor, who writes under the pen name Cole Hartwell. Questions about this policy: [email protected].
