Chiefs Contact Tyreek Hill's Agent as Free Agent WR Draws Interest

Kansas City has reportedly reached out to Tyreek Hill's agent, potentially setting up a reunion with the free-agent wide receiver.

By Cole Hartwell

The Kansas City Chiefs have already reached out to Tyreek Hill’s agent, according to Mike Silver of The Athletic via Underdog NFL. Hill is currently a free agent after spending six seasons with the Chiefs from 2016 to 2021.

What happened

The Chiefs have reportedly contacted Hill’s agent, per Mike Silver. This early contact suggests Kansas City may have interest in bringing back the six-time All-Pro wide receiver.

Hill is a free agent after playing the previous three seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He is 31 years old and has played 10 seasons in the NFL.

Context

Hill spent the first six years of his career in Kansas City, where he established himself as one of the league’s premier deep threats. He has been a free agent since the start of the 2026 league year.

According to Sleeper data, Hill has been added in 69,888 fantasy leagues and dropped in 91,256 leagues over the last 24 hours, indicating significant roster movement as managers react to this news.

What’s next

It is not yet known whether the interest from the Chiefs is mutual or if other teams have also reached out to Hill’s agent. No deal has been reported at this time.

🏈 Fantasy impact

The prospect of Hill returning to Kansas City would be a massive boost for his fantasy value, as he previously thrived with Patrick Mahomes. If a reunion happens, Hill would immediately become a high-end WR2 with weekly WR1 upside. However, this is only initial contact—no agreement is in place. Fantasy managers should monitor developments and be ready to add Hill if negotiations progress. Rashid Shaheed, Rashee Rice, and Xavier Worthy would see significant reductions in targets if Hill lands in Kansas City.
