Mike Washington Jr. injury update: questionable for Week 7 vs. Rams
The Raiders running back did not practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday with foot and back injuries.

Mike Washington Jr. was not on the field for the portion of Thursday’s practice open to reporters, according to The Athletic’s Sam Warren. The Las Vegas Raiders are preparing for a Week 7 home game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, October 25.
What happened
Washington was a limited participant Wednesday because of foot and back injuries, but Thursday’s injury report listed him as a non-participant. Yahoo Sports noted that this looks like a setback.
Underdog NFL reported that head coach Klint Kubiak said Washington is expected to be ready for Week 7, while also noting that the running back is questionable for the game.
Context
Washington has been the Raiders’ second running back behind Ashton Jeanty all season. Through six games, he has 34 carries for 168 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown, plus three receptions for 11 receiving yards, totaling 26.9 PPR points. Last week, he had nine rushes for 43 yards and one catch for seven yards against the Buffalo Bills.
Jeanty has not appeared on the injury report this week and appears to be a full go. He has 98 carries for 313 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown, along with 26 receptions for 251 receiving yards, totaling 100.4 PPR points through six games.
Timeline
On October 15, Fantasy Football Desk reported that Kubiak shut down rumors about Jeanty possibly sitting out the Week 6 game against the Bills. Kubiak said “He’s playing” when asked about Jeanty’s status.
Depth chart
If Washington cannot play, Connor Heyward is the next running back on the depth chart. Heyward has four carries for -2 rushing yards and one reception for nine receiving yards this season. Dylan Laube has five carries for nine rushing yards and one rushing touchdown, plus four receptions for 15 receiving yards.

🏈 Fantasy impact
Washington’s availability is uncertain after missing Thursday’s practice. He is questionable for Week 7, and although Kubiak said he expects him to be ready, the missed practice is a concern. Jeanty is projected for 16.1 PPR points and is a must-start. Washington is projected for only 5.6 PPR points and should be on benches or waivers in most leagues. If you need a deep lotto ticket, Connor Heyward is next up but has just 1.7 PPR points this season, so he is not a recommended add. Start Jeanty with confidence; do not start Washington even if active, given his limited role and injury.
