Newer update on Tank Bigsby: Jaydon Blue signed to Eagles' active roster ahead of Week 6 vs. Panthers

Tank Bigsby heads to medical tent after leaving Eagles game

Philadelphia's backup running back exited late in the fourth quarter with an undisclosed injury.

By Cole Hartwell

Eagles running back Tank Bigsby left Sunday’s game against the Rams and went to the medical tent, according to Underdog NFL. The severity of the injury is unclear.

What happened

Bigsby was seen walking to the locker room under his own power with three minutes left in the fourth quarter, according to RotoBaller. The reason for his exit has not been specified.

Bigsby had taken on a larger role after Saquon Barkley left with a hamstring injury. He finished with 14 carries for 55 yards in the loss, per Yahoo Sports.

Context

Philadelphia was already missing DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert for Week 4. Barkley’s hamstring issue left Bigsby and Will Shipley to handle backfield duties.

Bigsby had been the primary ball carrier, with Shipley serving as the passing-down back, according to Yahoo Sports. If both Barkley and Bigsby miss time, Shipley could see an expanded role.

What’s next

The Eagles are expected to provide updates on Bigsby’s status this week, per RotoBaller. Philadelphia faces Jacksonville in London on Sunday.

Status alert: Tank Bigsby headed to medical tent Sunday.

🏈 Fantasy impact

Bigsby is a priority waiver add in leagues where he is available, especially with Barkley’s hamstring injury possibly costing him time. However, his own injury clouds his Week 5 outlook. If both Barkley and Bigsby are out, Will Shipley becomes a deep-league stash with potential flex value. Managers should monitor practice reports before using Bigsby against the Jaguars.
